The 10th of May.
Evening. I’m back on relatively soft foods. The right side of my tongue has really just become one huge über-ulcer. I got up at half past nine and spent my morning watching Saturday Kitchen and reading the weekend Guardian. I had to have porridge for breakfast because muffins require too much chewing. I had soup for lunch.
This afternoon, Daddy and I went to see The Wind Rises. It was a nice film; very pretty. The story was not as magical as some of the other Studio Ghibli films, but it was nice enough. Except when the lady goes off back to the sanitorium to die. That was less fun.
And now it’s Eurovision! Time for fabulous insanity.
The 11th of May.
Oh dear. I am not looking forward to tomorrow morning. I’m going to try to not think about it.
I got up about nine and spent my morning watching Sunday Brunch. At the end, I had lunch (more soup – mouth GvH makes my diet so mundane but hopefully tomorrow we’ll get it sorted before it gets any worse), and this afternoon, after the Grand Prix, I worked out. I decided not to let my heart rate drop below 130 so by the end (about an hour and a half later) I was quite warm and sweaty. But also proud. I like to push myself.
Now I’m reading the Ransom Riggs book again after finishing the Jeffery Deaver. It’s a good thing I like books as tonight’s tv is terrible.
