The 6th of December.  I would consider today a great success on all fronts. I slept reasonably, then this morning, Daddy, Christine and I went to purchase the Christmas tree, which did not take us long at all. We were very efficient at choosing.

Then we went to the log man and now have six bags of logs for our Christmas fires. I do love the open fire - roll on Christmas Eve.

This afternoon, Mommy, Christine and I met up with Becky and Alison at the shop we tried on dresses at last year. We found the one. She couldn't stop smiling and squawking - she was speechless. It is perfect for her. James' jaw is going to hit the floor when he sees her.

We also happened to see a dress similar to the one we'd liked in the other shop, so I tried it on and it seems that could be the one too! Just got to get the others to try it but hopefully it'll be good for everyone!

So we came out feeling much happier than we did the other night, and came back to Harry Potter on TV. Super day.

The 7th of December.

I woke up this morning and my arm was wet. That's because Mommy did my clexane injection in my right arm last night, and that is the side I sleep on. It did not like it. It seems she might have hit a capillary, so it has just bled and bled all night. We put a dressing on (which it immediately bled through so did another with extra gauze) and my pyjama top and bedsheets have been soaked in a lot of Vanish, and everything should be okay. It hurts quite a lot still though, and I think I will have rather a good bruise.

This morning I just watched Sunday Brunch, and then Mommy washed my hair. I stayed upstairs and Christine came to join me because I needed her help to wrap Mommy's big, heavy present that I cannot lift. Between us we managed it,but it is not my prettiest wrapping. It can go at the back.

We had lunch at about half past three, then Daddy took Christine to the station and I started reading The Rabbit Back Literature Society, because I have grown tired of The Architects and no long care how it ends.
