The 8th & 9th; I've given myself whiplash.

The 8th of June. I woke up to hear that Daddy had coughed his back into a spasm in the night, so we were both a bit incapacitated today. He ended up taking the free appointment at the chiro before me.

It was my most painful session ever, I think. I nearly had to tell her to stop working on my neck at one point, something I've never had to do. Apparently I've given myself whiplash from coughing so much. I have to go back in a week.

This afternoon, I've had various ice packs strategically placed and started crocheting a bear for Mandy at the home.

The 9th of June.

Daddy had another day off today but I think he'll be back at work tomorrow. I'm still walking a bit dodgily with my lower back the way it is. I need to stretch a lot.

I was woken up this morning by my wheelchair being delivered! I couldn't use it immediately as it needed to be charged, so we took my normal chair to the Women's for menopause clinic. It was a much better experience than last time - I only had to wait 45 minutes (instead of over 2 hours). We discussed the coil again, but I'm going to have to have it inserted under anaesthetic. We had a try today without it, and fuck, it was painful. I think of myself as having a fairly high pain threshold, but it was bad. The small speculum hurt, then she started opening it up and oh my god. I was clenching my jaw so tight. She tried to measure my womb but it was too difficult. Basically, the opening of my womb is really small because I haven't pushed a GIANT BABY HEAD through it. If I have to have this done every time I need a smear, they can fuck off.

This afternoon, I went on a little test drive of my new chair, just round the block. I found that it doesn't like slanty pavements - it tried to drive me into the road several times. I had a nice chat with a builder who commented on how slow I was going, but I did not feel safe yet speeding up and ramming into cars. It'll be fine at the food show as that'll be all flat, but in certain areas it might be a bit scary until I've had more practise.

The 10th & 11th; Heard that a friend of a friend died. Again.

The 6th & 7th; I'm so happy and excited.
