The 11th of January.  I don't know about you, but I've had David Bowie in my head all day. We did at least one show at my drama school back in the day completely based around his songs - Dance Magic Dance, Rebel Rebel. We used to sing it all the time "You remind me of the babe! What babe? The babe with the power! What power? The power of voodoo! Who do? You do! Do what? Remind me of the babe!"

I didn't see any news this morning, so his death was announced to me by Phillip and Holly, and the rest of the morning involved watching the internet for other people's tributes, reliving memories with old friends.

I don't know what else to say about today. I made a bunny eat and leg, and have been made angry by the government complaining about the junior doctors striking tomorrow. I don't think they're going to get that public on side. Telling everyone that the doctors "don't understand the contract" or that they're putting patients at risk, when in fact the removal of safeguards, cutting pay for anti-social hours, stretching an already stressed service, those are the things that are going to put people at risk. I trust my doctors, not Jeremy Hunt.

The 12th of January.

I think I am beginning to get better. The rumbling seems to have abated, I just cough up a lot of phlegm every so often. Grandma's been sick in the night, and Daddy's been sick at work, so it's not a good day! At least I am just coughing, not throwing up.

I've spent most of my day trying to ignore the government bile about the doctors' strike. I fully support the doctors - I don't know any chronically ill person who doesn't. We believe the doctors are acting in our best interests, and that government aren't. I am honestly afraid for my own safety if they force the contract through. I'll certainly be on high alert on nights and at weekends if I get admitted, keeping vigilant about my own care. I am the sort of person who is aware of what care and did I need, but a lot of people aren't and will be in danger of they get a tired doctor who makes a mistake.

A woman on Facebook was trying to compare her job in airport security to that of a junior doctor, which I thought was hilarious. I can't understand anyone not supportung them. Saying "they need to be round the table" when that is where they've been for two years but the Tories are determined to destroy the NHS as we know it. It's a scary time to be ill.

The 13th & 14th; Oh, it's all just shit.
