In one of the stars I shall be living.

The 14th & 15th; Cold and trembly all the time.

 The 14th of October.

I am so tired. Needing blood means I am cold and trembly all the time. When I see James tomorrow I'll get a cross-match form so I can have blood on Tuesday. I'm just so sleepy.

I have moved more today, but really just because I have had to pee a lot. No particular reason but it's good for me. I can stand up a bit straighter, but my thigh muscles are not good. I had to find the resistance bands because I have to be sort of pushed up the final step when I go to bed.

This morning I did a blog post, then I have spent my whole day doing really tedious crocheting and watching old episodes of Bake Off on Netflix. There are things I really want to eat like pain au chocolat and loads of bread and pizza but I can't yet because too much fat is not good for my liver immediately. Plus it's really filling and I can't fit much in yet. My tiny stomach shrunk even more in hospital. Tonight is venison, mmm iron.

The 15th of October.

Well, today has been different. I got up a bit earlier then I have been (not ideal) as we had to go out at ten for me to see James at eleven. Unfortunately, he was running late, so I didn't actually see him until about quarter to twelve. We discussed blood, which he'd got me down for having in Ambulatory Care on Friday. I can't wait that long, so we said we'd see if haematology could help when we were finished with him. We also sorted out my drugs regime, and now we have a plan for if the klebsiella comes back: we ring the on-call liver reg, we have a letter from James saying what I need, and we get meropenem immediately. I won't go back to ICU.

Once I was done there, we went to haematology to beg for blood. They were a bit confused at first, but once they'd established I'm their patient too, they were happy to help. Now having blood on Wednesday morning!

By the time we left, it was quarter to two, and we were very hungry. We got home, had lunch, then had to go back out to my chiro appointment. I had to explain to Trine what has been going on, and she gave my muscles a big stretch, worked out some knots and crunched some bones. I certainly feel a lot looser. Standing up straight is getting easier.
