The 8th of August.

Ahh, sweepy. I woke up at four so I didn't have to kill too much time before I had to get up for Becky and I to go out at half eight for Alton Towers!

Driving and parking was all very straightforward, I got my special access red wristband, and we went and got a coffee before going to our first ride, The Smiler. We had to wait a little bit with that one, because they were having a palaver about if they were going to add another row or something but they abandoned that idea, and we eventually got on. It was very twisty and my head got bashed about a lot which I didn't like. We then had to wait an hour for our next big ride (but after that they stopped caring), so we bimbled over to the Forbidden Valley, where we went on The Blade which was my favourite because it was just like a nice big swing. Very relaxing. Then we did Air and Nemesis. I liked flying on Air. I may have done a Superman pose.

We then decided to get some lunch, so I had some chicken nuggets and Becky ate her sandwich and we watched some ducklings! Bonus fluffy fun. Then we went on Rita which involved more head-bashing, and I ate part of a disappointing pancake, and we came home! Th13teen was the only ride I wanted to do that was closed, but that was fine, so we were home just after four.

Tonight and tomorrow are very much recovery days.

The 9th of August.

This morning, everything was really hard, but tonight I feel much better because everything I wanted to do is done. I slept until about four, got up just after seven and went to talk to Mommy about what we were going to bake for Heidi and family before she went to Tesco in case there was anything extra we needed. Then I ate kippers for breakfast again and they were scrumptious (the flavour of "smoked" makes everything better), and shaved my legs.

Getting upstairs to moisturise was a massive effort, and I really wasn't sure how I was going to cope with even just moving around the house today. So I just took things really slowly, and Christine and Mommy came in to watch a bit of Saturday Kitchen. I wrote Emma's card and wrapped her book and nail varnishes, then came downstairs for some lunch! I also finally got to read the paper.

This afternoon we baked three varieties of cupcake - vanilla with vanilla frosting and sugar bees and ducklings, nutella-filled vanilla with chocolate and vanilla marbled frosting, and mojito topped with lime zest and sugar, and a batch of snickerdoodles. I hope they're hungry/have places to share them! We had a bit of a situation trying to pack them into containers but it's all fine.

I wrote up a blogpost and fixed some of my nails, and put a cool pack on my face. I would like it to deflate a bit more quickly please.

I'm so excited for tomorrow/Monday!

The 10th & 11th; Such a splendid weekend, I am loathe to have not been able to escape normal life for longer.

The 6th & 7th; "This is worst I can remember feeling without infection and as hard as I am trying to stay cheerful, every so often I really do just lose the will to live and I cannot carry on like this."
