The 14th & 15th; I'll try not to scream in her face.
The 14th of June. Update on leg: no change. Still huge. I don't know how long I'm supposed to carry on for before I go back and cry about feeling like The Elephant Man.
I've spent my day with my leg up on a stool, moving only for lunch and to get my hair washed. My voice is better today - for a short time, it sounded nearly normal. That makes me hopeful, as it's been weeks since I spoke properly. I would even consider going back to the gym this week, but I couldn't get my trainers on to try.
We realised today that my disabled adult's railcard hasn't arrived and I'm supposed to be using it to travel on Thursday when Daddy and I go to The News Quiz, so the woman we spoke to its going to post it again and I've got to keep my fingers crossed that it arrives.
Tonight I have been texting Lorna (Becky's cousin) trying to organise stuff for the hen do, so stressful!
The 15th of June.
I think it might be starting to skate? A tiny bit. Last night, the redness had spread, but this morning, the colouring was more normal. Really just hoping that what we're doing is finally working.
I made the body of Mandy's bear this morning and did some internet research for hen party stuff which I shall share with Lorna tonight. Also, my railcard arrived! Finally - the letter says the 1st of June but it's taken two weeks to get here? Oh well. I found out that The News Quiz lineup is excellent - Jeremy Hardy, Susan Calman, Sara Pascoe and Miles Jupp! Sara has said she'll introduce me to Sandi. I'll try not to scream in her face.
This afternoon, Mommy and I went round the block in my new chair. I did better this time, not being driven into the road, and I went into some shops! I'm not going to take it to London; I think I need to take it out in Birmingham before it ventures south.
