The 7th & 8th; I'd like a sleep.
The 7th of December. Only just got home again. My toes are cold. I think I need extra blood flow to my feet because they are just impossible to keep warm. I have considered buying Uggs but a) I don't know if they'd work and b) I really don't want to be seen wearing Uggs.
Nobody was in when I got up because Mommy had taken Daddy to the doctor after his poorly spell. It seems something went wrong in his eustachian tube. Did blog post, worked on snood I'm making with wool bought at the NEC.
This afternoon, we went to Mrs. Porter's house for tea! She was my English teacher in Year 7 but I have seen her numerous times since leaving school and this visit has been in the making for a long time. We talked mainly cats and school - she has two big fluffies, one of which decided she would sit on Mommy while we had our festive foods. She had a very seasonal spread from M&S, with little Christmas tree-shaped biscuits, Yule Log, mini mince pies. She showed us her teaching room which is like an attic room, I'd love it. I'd have it as my personal library (my dream if I were to ever own my own home, now unlikely).
Still full from our tea, I won't be having dinner. I think I'd like a sleep.
The 8th of December.
Ugh, it took me forever to get to sleep last night. My right leg felt dead so even though it was asleep, I couldn't join it. I did eventually get there, but not for as long as I would have liked.
No plans today so it's been very quiet. Busily crocheting the 5-ball snood, one ball left. Lots of very small stitches so it's taking a good long time. I do plan on being able to wear the things I'm making this winter, it just might be next month rather than this one.
After lunch, we watched the last episode of The Returned. It's all a very interesting concept. I think the goodbye between Lena and Camille touched me the most, for obvious reasons.
When I'd finished the fourth ball of wool, I went to have Netflix and cat time. He decided to sleep in a very stupid position but that is cats. He's just daft.
I don't know what else to say. Hospital tomorrow, meeting up with Suzi on Friday. Trying to decide where to go. Good coffee versus accessibility. I need to see if I can fold up my chair myself.
