The 9th & 10th; Pick a season.

The 9th of September.  Early start. Couldn't sleep properly. I think I was downstairs by quarter to nine and on a day I don't have to go anywhere, that is early. I wrote up a blog post, finalised what I'm going to say on Tuesday and emailed a copy of it to Ben. I've looked up the weather forecast and currently it says 29 degrees so I am going to have to rethink my wardrobe. Crocheted a chunk of scarf too.

This afternoon, Daddy and I went to see Ben-Hur. I'm not really sure why I wanted to go, now I've watched it. I didn't really know what it was about; had I done some research, I probably would have picked Kubo instead. It's good if that's what you're into, but it just made me think about how horrific Roman times were, and there are still places that inflict their kind of punishments. I am so lucky to be who I am, where I am.

Rufus jumps up to sit next to me now. He keeps climbing all over my diary as I write and sniffing at my pen.

The 10th of September.

My god, I wish the weather would just pick a season. Today has been so cold and wet, yet in the week it's going to get really warm again. Please just choose so I can streamline my wardrobe! It is ridiculous.

We were out this morning, visiting Sarah who adopted Gabby and Gabe from us to join her three other cats. When we arrived, her baby granddaughter was still there, having stayed with her overnight. She was ginger and squidgy but not delighted about meeting us. Did not really want to be friends, but when her parents came to pick her up, she became a lot happier.

To begin with, we only saw Eddie, her huge black cat. He wanted to be fussed, so I obliged, and Sarah let the other ones in. I'd forgotten how pale brown a tabby Gabby is compared to the ones we've just had. I showed Sarah a photo of Rufus because her friend's daughter is looking for a kitten. He's not ready to go anywhere yet, but when he is, she might want him. He is a scrap compared to Sarah's enormous beasts.

We left about twelve, and this afternoon has been rather sedate. I worked out what I'm going to wear on Tuesday, watched an episode of Jessica Jones, and just saw our women's wheelchair basketball team beat Germany who are the current Paralympic champions. Yay us!

The 11th & 12th; I hope my appointment on Thursday isn't a disappointment.
