The 26th of October.
I have all of my wool! Practically buried in it.
My morning sort of disappeared. I got a text from Sarah who adopted Alissa and Aliyah from us with pictures of them all happily settled in, but then I went to text Christine about them and I couldn't find the album with old pictures of them in it. They were in an album of this year, and I couldn't see it, so I went upstairs to my computer to recreate it, which took until lunchtime. I have since discovered an identical album named after my old phone and I suspect it might have been there the whole time and I was being blind. While I was doing that, Mommy went to the sorting office and picked up my two wool packages, and the postman brought a third so now I have it all!
Most of my afternoon has been spent looking at my jumper and trying to work out how the pattern works so I can do the yoke. Just after I'd unravelled what I'd done, Jen came round. She had some cat paperwork, then we had some medical chat (she used to be a GP) before she was back on her way.
I have since understood the pattern and done a round and a half (of six). It's so complicated!
The 27th of October.
Today has made my brain ache. I have spent about seven hours doing two rounds of my jumper. Part of my confusion was down to me not being able to count at some point in a previous round, but most of it was because whoever wrote the pattern couldn't be arsed to write seventeen rounds of it. Basically, it involved stitch decreases between blocks of stitches, and I had to work out how many need to be in each block for each round, but when I came to do it, it wasn't working. In the end, I think I have cracked it, but it took me until about half past five. I've managed to do a third row now. I really hope what I've worked out continues for the rest of the rounds or I might cry.
That is literally all I have done and I have nothing else to tell you.
