The 30th & 31st; I have exciting news!
The 30th of October.
I have exciting news!
If you recall, a little while ago I mentioned that I had a phone call from Anthony Nolan but I couldn't say what about. Well, now they've announced it, so I can too. I've been nominated for an Anthony Nolan Supporter Award for Individual Fundraiser of the Year! I don't suppose I'll win, but I get to go to a fancy ceremony and it will be lots of fun.
I have spent much of my day crocheting the scarf back and forth. Watching the new Sabrina on Netflix, which is the polar opposite of the Melissa Joan Hart version. I think they missed a trick by not having a sarcastic talking cat though.
This evening, I went to the Glee to see Elis and John read bits of their book. My first night out, but not a big one - it finished at quarter to nine. I met up with some people from the podcast Facebook group, and we had a lovely time! It helps when you have a strong common interest and are legends.
It finishing when it did meant when I got home, I could watch the Bake Off final and still get to bed in reasonable time. It was very stressful but when they said Rahul had won I punched the air with delight. So happy for the special angel potato.
The 31st of October.
Happy Halloween! Or as I like to think of it, Festive Jumper Season Eve. I've just realised it is ten years to the day since I went back to BCH with a temperature, which turned into liver failure, the transplants, and a seven month inpatient stay.
Somehow, I managed to spend most of the morning writing about yesterday, because I didn't have time before I went out last night. I must have just got distracted a lot, because it's not like there was masses to say.
For the rest of the day, I have crocheted the scarf. In nearly at the end. Mommy and Daddy went to buy a new kitchen bin (the old one's fastening mechanism broke - now we have one that you wave at) and I watched Scream. I thought I would attempt to get into the scary spirit, but because it was made in 1996, it is not exactly terrifying. Rose McGowan's fake dead body is so unrealistic, it's almost funny.
