The 26th & 27th; I don't have pneumonia.
The 26th of March.
Finally I am able to write this sitting up again! I am not entirely rumble-free, but it is not so terrible that I feel I must lie on my front in order to alleviate it.
We went down to the QE early doors so the x-ray could be done and then anything further could be decided upon pending the results.
I didn't have to wait for too long before it was my turn in x-ray, and the chap doing it let me know the results would be immediately available for Dr. Thompson to look at. I got changed back out of my gown, and we went to sit and have a coffee while I emailed him. After half an hour, he hadn't responded and I knew he was in clinic, so we went down there. I told a nurse the situation, who went to let him know, and I waited. After a few minutes, he came out, informed me that I don't have pneumonia (always preferable) and asked what colour my phlegm was. I produced the sputum pot we'd got from the GP, which he took, asked what drugs I'd had and am allergic to, and has prescribed a week of Doxycycline. I got some Yum Yums from the new M&S while we waited for pharmacy, and I'll start them tomorrow because of the time they have to be taken.
This afternoon, I watched Three Identical Strangers and it is so good. Shocking and quite appalling but really excellent. A must-watch.
The 27th of March.
I am really exhausted tonight. Like I really just want to curl up and go to sleep. I'll have to wait until bedtime though. Maybe tonight I won't need Zopiclone. It would be the first night since the 16th that I haven't had it. The rumbling hasn't kicked in yet, although I am making a lovely raspy noise when I inhale before a cough, like the girl in The Grudge.
This morning, I borrowed Mommy's laptop to make a few tweaks to my website. The excerpt text when I do a search was too pale for my liking, so I fixed that, then I had to deal with the issue of the order of the results. If I click on a tag, the results are in date order, but if I type a word it seems completely random. I tried to find a solution and couldn't, so I tweeted Squarespace, and it turns out I can't actually do what I want. However, they think it's a good idea so are going to put in a feature request with their developers. Hopefully I can do it soon!
That took until lunchtime, so I only got to finishing my first sleeve this afternoon. I did that while watching the first three episodes of season two of The O.A. I think I need someone to watch it all and write about it so I can be sure I have understood what's going on. It does irritate me that it's so dark, sometimes it is impossible to see what's happening.
Bed please.
