The 1st & 2nd; Most things were not bad!
The 1st of August.
Goddamn this warm weather. I am blaming it for the fact that my right foot has swollen up with fluid like nobody's business. Nothing else has changed, so I have to just keep elevating my foot until it goes back down to normal size. It would be useful if it could do that before I try and put my trainers on for the gym tomorrow.
I woke up stupidly early, but it meant I could start work on the rest of the data that Sadie sent me last night. We're so efficient! Actually, Daddy hadn't quite finished the final sheet of 2018 so I did that first, then moved on to reorganising the worksheets and creating my first pivot table. Daddy had been out shopping for DIY stuff, and thankfully he arrived home just in time for me to get him to check what I'd done was correct. It worked, so I was able to get the first half of 2012 done before lunch!
This afternoon, I went to get my hair cut because it was all still a bit too long for my liking, so Michaela gave it all a trim while we caught up on things. There are some exciting things going on with the salon, and we've booked in my next appointment for my colour because it will need doing before something I have happening in September (but it's a secret). And as a bonus, Michaela's mum brought baby Willow in so I got to give her a squidge before I left. She's such a happy, chatty baby!
When I got back, I returned to the computer to finish the second half of 2012. It was fairly tedious, but satisfying. I had to get Daddy's assistance again for the last part (I have not learned enough about pivot tables from just watching him once), but now hopefully I can just apply the same techniques to the other years. We will be done soon!
The 2nd of August.
I have had a very productive afternoon, but not in the same way as the past few days. This morning, I didn't do any work on Sadie's spreadsheets because Daddy was doing stuff with money and budgets on the computer, so I got immersed in an episode of The Blacklist. I had planned on going to the gym immediately after lunch, but Mommy had gone to the NEC this morning and taken my wheelchair with her by accident. Daddy offered to get my manual chair out of the summer house to take me, which was absolutely out of the question and I let him know as much. He did not understand that using it makes me feel like shit.
As soon as Mommy got back, she took me straight to Erdington. I arrived about half past two, but didn't actually get started doing anything in the gym until just after three because I bumped into Jo from school who I haven't seen for ages, so we ended up chatting for about half an hour and are going to have coffee.
The gym was surprisingly good! They don't have all the same machines as Wyndley, so I need to find some substitutes. Obviously I didn't try to do a full workout like I used to - I just went around trying the various exercises that I did before, seeing what weights I could do and for how many reps. Most things were not bad! The abducting and addicting were pretty poor, though, which is not really surprising because those were the muscles that got eaten when I was in ICU. All in all though, I am happy.
Christine is home this weekend, so I won't be back until next week, but I imagine my muscles will protest quite a lot after this session anyway.
