The 5th & 6th; I gave her quite the bollocking.
The 5th of November.
I have finished the crochet!
Well, the most recent one. I still have much more to do and decisions to make. I haven't picked what I'm going to make for either parent.
So this morning I did a blog post, then got to finishing the crochet. I had to make two more small bits and sew them on, and it should have been finished. However, I wasn't happy with two areas, so I redid one bit and made a couple of extra parts and now I am happy.
I had a phone call from the pain nurse, which was a surprise. I was told when we rang the team to chase them that she would, but that was two weeks ago so I want expecting anything now. She said Dr. Blaney wanted to know if I'd tried Butrans patches, which made me angry because that is the first thing he gave me and he should know this because it should be in my notes. Then she asked how I got on with them and I said obviously they didn't work or I'd still be on them wouldnt I? At this point I gave her quite the bollocking because I haven't heard from her for at least six months, after I told her the steroid injections hadn't worked, she said she rarely sees Dr. Blaney and apparently she cannot contact him any other way, and I just think the way the department is run is appalling. I'm going to PALS on Thursday after my lung function tests. I'm sick of this.
This afternoon, I went to see Anne Dancey for my (very late) follow up appointment, and she is delighted with the result. We took some photos so I have the before and after, plus a bonus of a picture of the litre of fat she removed. Discharged!
The 6th of November.
Minorly stressful start to the day here. Not on my part - Daddy was supposed to set off to go to Wales at half past nine, but once his car came out of the garage, it wouldn't start again. He jump-started it from Mommy's car, but then when he gave it a test run, he was getting error messages which made him nervous about driving to North Wales in it, so in the end he took Mommy's car, about ninety minutes later than he'd hoped. I stayed out of the way.
My day has been very boring, to read about. I'm making myself a Christmas jumper, and making the front involves just going back and forth doing rows of single crochet, which I have to continue with until it's 44cm in height. It's not exactly exhilarating but hopefully it'll be cute in the end. To entertain me, I had a mini Sabrina marathon and finished the season. I loved the way it ended, but I do not think it bodes well for any of the characters.
