The 19th & 20th; It feels like a different lifetime.
The 19th of December.
Tree is done! Well, almost - Christine has some decorations that she is bringing home with her so they'll have to be added on Saturday.
I was up slightly early, because I had an appointment at Black Sheep to get my hair cut. Again, I know. It grows so quickly! I was a little bit nervous that Adam might be offended that it was a different colour to what he did, but he didn't really see it until after it had been washed. I told Michaela about our very late festive preparations, and she showed me some pictures of Lulu and Blossom in their Christmas elf outfits. So cute.
Daddy picked me up, and when we got home, I finished off a Christmas card for Grandma that Mommy had been cross-stitching before she injured herself. It just needed some beads adding, which I am quite capable of. Had it required actual stitching, I think it might have been a different story.
This afternoon, I wrapped the presents for the East and Reames families, except for one which is a stupid shape and is going in one of my bags.
Today is eleven years since my first stem cell transplant. It feels like a different lifetime.
The 20th of December.
It's been a busy day! Haven't gone anywhere, just lots of jobs to do.
First, I had to put my wooden pugs on the tree, then open all the Villeroy and Boch boxes because Mommy couldn't do it with one hand. Just putting the six pugs up was difficult because of breathing and pain, so if I'd tried to do the whole thing, j would have been trashed. Then Mommy and I made the marzipan for the Christmas cake, which involved squidging all the ingredients together and shaping it on top of the cake. Lastly, before lunch, we re-dyed my hair because it had got too pale after the last wash.
This afternoon, I was tasked with wrapping more presents, this time for Grandma. Thankfully most of them were box-shaped, so it wasn't too taxing. I have got a papercut got my trouble though. When I was done, I watched Toy Story 2, but I won't be watching the final part of the trilogy tomorrow. I don't feel like sobbing.
