The 23rd and 24th; I am Tiny Tim.
The 23rd of December.
Merry Christmas Eve Eve!
No stress today. I convinced Daddy to take me and Christine to the cinema via the expressway in plenty of time, so I was much happier when we arrived at The Electric than I was yesterday. Unfortunately, we did have to climb the stairs again, but this time I could do it at a much more leisurely pace. Christine went back down to get drinks and nibbles, and we settled in for The Muppets Christmas Carol.
We did not sing along - it wasn't that kind of screening - but I loved it all the same. I am Tiny Tim. When it finished, I got a text from Mommy asking if we could get a cab home, because she needed Daddy for something. I tried Uber, but they wouldn't pick up from there? They wanted us to walk to the train station drop off zone which I categorically could not do, so T.O.A. it was.
This afternoon, I have finished putting together my jumper, put decorations on the Christmas cake, and managed not to cry at Up!
The 24th of December.
Merry Christmas Eve!
The fire is burning and I am coping, which I am very pleased about. I really wasn't sure I'd be able to tolerate it this year.
The kitchen has been super busy today, baking so many things! I helped with some cinnamon streusel cupcakes, but that has been about it because I am puny and useless.
So this morning I finished off If Cats Disappeared From The World, which made me do the sort of crying that gives me a headache. It needed finishing and I knew I would cry so I couldn't read it in public, and now it is done.
After lunch, I plonked myself in front of the tv - Zootropolis was on, and Denise came round for a surprise visit to bring me a Christmas card! It was nice to catch up because she was poorly when we bumped into her at Sara Pascoe so we didn't want to get too close then.
Now, I am watching Miracle on 34th Street (the good one with Richard Attenborough) and now I am ready. One more sleep 'til Christmas.
