The 23rd & 24th; It's adorable!
The 23rd of January.
Well, the delivery I have been chasing turned up in today's post. It was with a different carrier who passed it on to Royal Mail for the last part of the journey. It's a weird system.
This morning, I wrote my thank you card to Taid and got that sent off, then I did some more work on my crochet until lunch. I then put that to the side, because the pieces of my baby raglan jumper had been ironed, so I could put that together.
I sewed up three of the raglan seams, then had to pick up the whole neckline. That part was slightly complicated, but I got there. I did the collar, then had to cast off in rib so I needed silence and concentration. Once I'd finished that, I sewed up the sides and sleeves, and it's adorable!
My feet are utterly freezing, so the USB slippers have been on. The road was white with snow this morning. Thankfully, I'm not planning on going outside again until Saturday.
The 24th of January.
All day I have kept expecting my wool to run out, but it hasn't. However, I think one more round will do it.
Mommy and Daddy were out at the hospital this morning because she had hand clinic. Got another new exercise and she has to go back next week. Soon she might be able to take the splint off in the daytime!
This afternoon, she was out at Grandma's and he went out for reasons unbeknownst to me, so I've basically spent the whole day on my own. I watched the new Riverdale (which was absolutely excellent and more than made up for last week's pile of dogshit), and I found out that The Walking Dead is back of NowTV until the end of March, so I can watch that anywhere (when I was watching it on Amazon Prime I could only watch in the back room) and will try to get back into it. I was halfway through the fifth season, so almost feel like I must power through. The adverts for the new season do intrigue me.
So as I said, I kept expecting my wool to run out and for that to be the end of the piece, and then I was going to do some reading. That has yet to happen! My resolution to read more is not going well.
