The 12th & 13th; Living on Rennies and Gaviscon.
The 12th of October.
I am really fucking tired of what is going on in my body.
This is a new fun symptom that I've been experiencing, and it isn't interesting or glamorous or anything anyone will investigate: it's wind. But not just your standard wind that can be moved on with being rubbed in the right place and a Rennie or two. This is happening after every meal, every day, and it sits in my chest in such a way that I can only get it out if I eat at least two Rennies. Two Rennies, three times a day. Twice now I've even had moments in bed where I've shifted to move out some wind and it's turned out to be sick that I've then had to swallow back down. Really unpleasant. I already take lansoprazole every day and it's been working fine, until a couple of weeks ago when this started, and now it's constant. It's not so uncomfortable that I can't deal with it, but I'm just sick of going through these orange boxes at such a rate that I'm probably propping up the company. It's really a very minor problem, I just really do not like it, especially since I am on medication that should prevent it. I mentioned it to the liver team so I got some bloods done when I saw Mr. Kolli a couple of weeks ago, and they were fine, but I might bring it up again, more persistently. There has to be something we can do other than have me living on Rennies and Gaviscon.
I spent my entire morning waiting for Mommy to get back from her shopping trip with some Gaviscon Advance. Even if it only comes in peppermint flavour, it will be worth it if it works. I hoped it would mean that I might only have to take it once a day, but I had some after lunch, and it still came back at about four. At least this afternoon I had some distraction, watching Divergent on Amazon Prime. I saw it a while ago, and have wanted to see the sequels but they've never been in Netflix or NowTV. However, today when I was browsing, I saw they were both on there, but it has been a year or two since I saw Divergent so I thought I'd watch that again before I see the rest. Plus since the kittens are in the cage, I thought I'd crochet another couple of blankets, so that was another good source of distraction.
Speaking of them, they all seem a lot better. I am happy to say we have had no more accidents, and they are behaving a lot more like happy, well kittens. A day or two more and I think we can let them out again. Fingers crossed!
The 13th of October.
I'm trying to write this while Daddy watches The Fifth Element and it's very distracting.
This morning was Sunday Brunch, coffee, and trying to sort out lunch because Daddy and I had to cook it as Mommy had had to go to Grandma's. She and I are going to see Josh tonight, so were going to have our main meal at lunch time. That would have been fine, but now Daddy and I had to be domestic. Thankfully, the meat had instructions on the cardboard and we can do vegetables. And she did come back in time to eat it so all was well!
After lunch, she went back up the road, and Daddy went to watch the Grand Prix. I had planned on letting the kittens out, but that could wait an hour. I watched the next episode of The Hot Zone, and it's so fucking stressful. Thank god there's only one left. I finished crocheting another kitten blanket, but having pinned them out, they both seemed too small? But I counted the stitches on the one the kittens are using and I thought they were right. However, I think I did my maths wrong at the beginning and I might have to do some unravelling again.
When Daddy had finished, we swapped rooms, and I watched the second Divergent film, Insurgent, while the kittens roamed free. I watched them like a hawk, constantly worrying that someone might go to the toilet somewhere they shouldn't. Thankfully we had no accidents! I even had some nice petting time with Blanche! She was purring away very happily. Beatrice and Bramble each had a turn too, although only for a couple of minutes. They have not learned to be lap cats yet. But when they have more time out of the cage, they might come round to the idea on their own. And since today went so well, we can have another go tomorrow!
