The 22nd & 23rd; Made lots of space.

 The 22nd of February.

It has been a most productive day!

This morning, I wrote up a blog post, then Mommy and I took to my bedroom to sort out my wardrobe. My jumper collection was getting out of control, along with some other areas, so a cull was required. We spent a good hour and a bit going through all my cardigans and jumpers, then moved on to my gymwear, thermals, leggings, jogging bottoms and pyjamas. There is now a large pile of clothes on my bedroom floor, including stuff I'd put in a drawer "to see if I missed them" (evidently I haven't), so now it needs to be sorted into clothes to be recycled, given to charity shops, or to try to sell online. Made lots of space, which is good for my dog jumpers.

By the time we'd got through that, it was lunchtime. This afternoon, I have finished my practise schnauzer. My strategy has worked, which I am delighted by - now I just have to decide if I want to do it on the red wool I have got for my next jumper, or if I save it for a different colour.

The 23rd of February.

I have been awake since about half past four this morning and it is not on.

By half eight, I gave up on trying to go back to sleep, and lumbered out of bed. I'd been having weird dreams anyway, about the hamster climbing the curtains and then chasing a tiny, shrunken Christine around the living room, so I was happy to leave those behind.

This morning, I finished typing up the schnauzer pattern, because I am going to do it on the red jumper. I had typed it up already, but it turns out I was off by a row so it was all backwards, knitting when I should have been purling etcetera. Never mind - I saw the problem before making the mistake. Once that was done, I had time to do the ribbing of the back of the jumper before lunch.

This afternoon, I watched the first episode of The Umbrella Academy (I think I'm into it? We'll see where it goes. I want to know how all the immaculate conceptions happened), then all of the rugby. I have decided to rank the national anthems of the six nations, and after today, it's not looking good for ours. I need to watch the beginning of the Italy/Ireland match tomorrow because I can't bring the Italian one to mind, but at the moment, France is winning.
