The 24th & 25th; It is a monumental task.
The 24th of February.
Would you believe that last night I was actually too warm and had to remove my blanket? Well, you probably would; the world is burning. Yet right now my feet are super cold and I need to put my heated slippers on.
Quiet day. Thus morning, I wrote up a blog post while watching Sunday Brunch, then continued knitting the back of my jumper. We had lunch, then washed my hair before Mommy went to Grandma's.
I watched the beginning of the rugby, so I could see the national anthems. My definitive ranking is this: 1. France. 2. Ireland. 3. Italy. 4. Scotland 5. Wales. 6. England. I will not be swayed on this. Once they'd sung, I watched the next two episodes of The Umbrella Academy. I am a fan. I do need to get over my association of Number 5 with one of the kids from School of Rock though - it's very distracting.
Going to see my Daddy tonight! He's coming home for Mommy's birthday on Tuesday. We haven't seen him for a fortnight but it feels like much longer. Will give him big hugs.
The 25th of February.
The weather is so confusing. I went out today without needing a jacket! I'm not complaining, but I do find it really unnerving.
I woke up with both parents in the house for the first time in weeks! Daddy got back at about half eight last night, and I think he's just trying to decompress. The amount of stuff they are going through at Taid's - imagine keeping every single piece of post you received, regardless of what it is, for decades. And they have to look at each individual letter to find out what to keep. This is before they have even started on the stamps, and he has an absolute fuckload of them. It is a monumental task.
I offered to take him to the cinema - well, he drove, but I paid. He had wanted to see the new James Cameron film before he went to Wales, and it's still on, so I thought he might want to go. I hadn't felt hugely enthusiastic about it, but I was actually pleasantly surprised! It was much better than I'd anticipated, I'm now just a bit annoyed that there are probably two more films and if they take as long to make as this one has, I do not think I'll be alive by their completion!
