The 11th & 12th; Kittens are on the loose.
The 11th of May.
I ended up not falling asleep until about one last night, because I stayed up and watched Graham Norton while I had some toast and Nutella (I was hungry when I got home from Grace Petrie).
I had a bit of a lie-in, then my morning didn't really consist of much. I put up a blog post, said hello to the kittens (frankly just a mass of black fluff today - my eyes are bad and unless I'm close up I can't even discern their features) and painted my nails.
After lunch, I managed to get each kitten out individually for a stroke (I have to look at their bellies to know who's who), but they'd just eaten too and were a bit over excited so I put them all back in so they could play and wear themselves out while I started season 2 of Lucifer. I watched the first two episodes, then the kittens were sleepy enough for some cuddles. I got Faraday first, because he was on his own in the bed, then Fabio and Fabian. What would be great is if I could put coloured mascara on their whiskers or something. It would make my life so much easier.
The 12th of May.
The kittens are on the loose.
I had four of them out individually this morning, between breakfast and coffee. I think the only one I didn't have out was Fabian but honestly it's just pot luck as to who I can grab without letting the rest escape.
The I had coffee, did my eye mask, watched some Sunday Brunch and gave my hair a much-needed wash. At this rate, the blue is going to last for months. I think when I do change it, it'll be through boredom rather than because it's faded.
While we ate lunch, we watched a programme about the Christian Dior exhibition, except I couldn't read the subtitles so I just listened to people speak French for an hour while I crocheted the head of Jenny's Bichon Frise.
This afternoon, we let the kittens out to run around for the first time. They were very interested in smelling everything first, then they were happy to hurtle up and down the room, chasing each other and fighting and exploring. I decided to watch District 9, which didn't grip me immediately but I ended up getting quite involved and even emotional at the end! Not what I had expected.
By then, the kittens had all got tired, and curled up underneath the armchair to go to sleep. Can't get them out, so we'll have to tempt them back into the cage with food later. Sigh.
