The 21st & 22nd; Mad and fighty.
The 21st of May.
It has been a busy day!
This morning, all the kittens went off to the vet for neutering and chipping. We had to leave them with descriptions of the white markings so they could tell them apart.
I did a blog post using the different app which worked very pleasingly, then I packed up Jenny's Bichon Frise and posted him off so hopefully he arrives safely in the next couple of days.
After lunch, I had a chiro appointment and for once, I didn't really have any major problems! Just a pop and a click here and there, but no ice pack required today. Then as we were about to go, Sandra (the lovely receptionist) told us she was leaving! We love her, and we will miss her very much.
Had an hour at home, then off to pick up the kittens. We went into the back room with the vet nurse to make sure she'd got them all correctly identified, which she had, then we got them all in the carrier and brought them home where they have been mad and fighty. I had spoken to another potential adopter, and she came round after work. Fabian ended up curling up at her feet (once they'd all been fed twice) which was fine because he was one of the only two available. And Deb has informed me of another person that she's going to talk to tomorrow.
Then all the kitties will have homes!
The 22nd of May.
Two kittens gone! I am hoping this will mean they calm down a bit. They keep climbing my legs and I am covered in plasters and puncture marks.
Quieter day. I've been mainly in with the kittens, apart from when I had to clean my wounds. This morning, Mommy went for her ultrasound to see what the lump on her hand is (apparently a cyst or some fluid), so now the surgeon can decide what he wants to do. I went and watched an episode of Lucifer, and had started on a second when somebody hung on to the back of my leg, making a rather deep hole and I had to go and clean that up.
When she got back, we had lunch, and watched the first Years and Years. I don't like Emma Thompson playing a Farage type. It upsets me.
I then went to try and fill in the paperwork for this afternoon's adoption, but all five kittens wanted to get on my lap so I had to give up. Mommy came in and was able to distract them for five minutes, so I was able to finish filling in the forms. I got them done just in time, then we had to find them the right two kittens! I did double check the remaining three to make sure the right ones were going, but I needn't have worried. I hope they behave themselves.
