The 2nd & 3rd; We're both here.
The 2nd of February.
Well, I was fairly convinced when I went to bed last night that when I came down this morning, Graham (our hamster) would have died. He had been struggling to get out of the hole where he sleeps and I really didn't feel optimistic for him. Thankfully, he remains with us for now. I don't know how long he'll stay, because he is very old, but he's here. We're both here.
I feel fine today, so Thursday must have been down to the gabapentin. We'll find out for sure when I try out again on Monday night. Not really looking forward to it but we need to be sure.
I've been mainly working on the second sleeve today, and will probably finish it this evening. I watched the start of season six of The Walking Dead, then the first in a new Netflix series about the inside of a criminal's mind. It wasn't good; I will not watch the rest. Now the rugby is on and I don't understand it but it seems to be going our way for now.
The 3rd of February.
I feel like I have not been very productive at all today, but I suppose one can't be finishing projects every day. It's been really, really cold - I've had to have a blanket over my legs all day, slippers being turned on and off. Apparently tomorrow it will be nine whole degrees so I hope it actually feels like it.
I've got my whole jumper pinned out, so I need that ironing before I can put it together and do the collar. Next step - doing a dog! I might do a baby one first, or even just the patch section to see how it goes. However, in order to do that, I need to know how to change colour, using the "intarsia" technique, so that's what I've been doing today. So far, I can do a square in a contrast colour. An asymmetrical motif is going to be a very different ball game, I think. I also did some work trying to learn continental knitting, which sort of worked? I can do the knitting, but the purling is trickier.
I just keep fantasising about making myself some knitted trousers that aren't festive.
